World Philosophical Forum Malaysia

About WPF Malaysia

WPF Malaysia stands as the Malaysian chapter of the World Philosophical Forum — an international movement committed to restoring the relevance of philosophy in contemporary life. Its establishment was inspired by the vision of Dato’ Philosopher D’Outreach Prof. Dr. Halo-N Badi’uzzaman, whose collaboration with the World Philosophical Forum –
UNESCO in Athens, Greece, in 2014 gave birth to this noble initiative. Guided by the enduring motto, “Wisdom and morality improve humanity,” WPF Malaysia carries forward the mission of cultivating wisdom, nurturing morality, and elevating humanity towards justice, harmony, and universal well-being. Therefore, WPF Malaysia serves as a platform for integrating Al Quranic and universal philosophy in education, leadership, and civic life.

With its roots in the timeless wisdom of the Al Qur’an and the shared reasoning of humanity, WPF Malaysia champions a living philosophy — one that not only enlightens the mind, but restores dignity, purpose, and justice to individuals and society. Through public discourse, academic collaboration, and leadership programs, it empowers ethical minds to think deeply, act wisely, and serve meaningfully.

Driven by the values of Wisdom, Relevance, and Transformation, WPF Malaysia is committed to nurturing a new generation of thinkers and changemakers — locally grounded, globally engaged.

Mission

To uphold the relevance of philosophy, grounded in Al Quranic wisdom, as a compass for human dignity, ethical intelligence, and social justice.

We connect Al Quranic and global philosophies to cultivate responsible minds and promote universal well-being.

Vision

To position WPF Malaysia as a leading platform for Al Quranic and universal philosophy — empowering minds through education, research, and inter-cultural dialogue. We envision a just and harmonious world shaped by spiritual insight, cultural wisdom, and shared human values.

Core Values

1. Philosophical Integrity

We uphold Al Quran and classical philosophy as complementary sources of truth, reason, and ethical guidance — essential for cultivating wisdom, conscience, and just leadership.

2. Human-Centered Responsibility

We promote civic values grounded in compassion, accountability, and service to others, with education and dialogue as tools to address contemporary global challenges.

3. Cultural and Global Solidarity

We celebrate Malaysia’s philosophical and cultural richness while embracing universal human ideals — fostering cross-cultural cooperation in pursuit of peace, sustainability, and shared dignity.

WISDOM • RELEVANCE • TRANSFORMATION

WPF Malaysia advances a living philosophy through three cornerstone programs: World Philosophy Day Celebrations promote intercultural understanding and elevate Malaysia’s intellectual voice globally; Patisari Khazanah Malaya revives indigenous Malay wisdom as a foundation for ethical dialogue; and Wacana Falsafah Dr. Halo-N offers Quranic philosophy as a transformative lens for education and life.
