Leader Message – Dr. Fadir

Dr. Hj. Mohd Fadir Embong
Executive Chairman, Institute of Al Quranic Philosophy

It is with deep humility and profound appreciation that I take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dato’ Philosopher D’outreach Professor Dr. Halo N, whose groundbreaking contributions through his nine-volume masterpiece Al Fathun Nawa have brought forth to the world an authentic representation of Qur’anic philosophy. His monumental writings have revealed the true intellectual essence of the Qur’an, positioning it as not merely a sacred scripture but as a vast ocean of knowledge—comprehensive, transformative, and deeply relevant to the advancement of global civilization. Through his scholarly dedication, Professor Dr. Halo N has demonstrated how Qur’anic philosophy can enrich humanity’s intellectual wealth, serving as a moral compass and as a practical framework to address two of the most pressing challenges of our era: “poverty in wealth” and “poverty in knowledge.”

As the Executive Chairman of the Institute of Qur’anic Philosophy, I am honored to witness how this vision has taken form in academic and practical spheres. Our institute has successfully nurtured students who embody the principles of Qur’anic philosophy in their daily lives. These young scholars are not merely acquiring knowledge, but are cultivating wisdom shaped by the Qur’an’s philosophy. They stand as living proof that when guided by divine wisdom, intellectual pursuits can be harmonized with ethical values, giving rise to individuals capable of navigating complex realities while contributing to human dignity, justice, and progress.

The celebration of World Philosophy Day 2025 in Kuala Lumpur is therefore not just an event, but a landmark in the global intellectual landscape. Kuala Lumpur today serves as a hub and harbor of philosophical discourse, a meeting point where ideas converge, evolve, and extend beyond cultural and geographical boundaries. This occasion reflects our collective aspiration to cultivate a world founded upon prosperity, wisdom, justice, morality, and peace. It is my hope that this platform will continue to grow into a beacon of intellectual unity, where philosophy becomes not only a matter of contemplation but also a catalyst for global transformation.

On this momentous occasion, I wish to express my sincere appreciation to all delegates, both local and international, who have journeyed here to contribute their insight, passion, and dedication to this celebration. Your presence embodies the spirit of dialogue and cooperation that lies at the heart of philosophy itself. My deepest gratitude also goes to the Gual Periok Foundation, the World Philosophical Forum Malaysia, the World Philosophical Forum, and the Al Qur’anic Philosophy Institute for their joint initiative and steadfast commitment in realizing this remarkable event. Without your vision and collaboration, the celebration of World Philosophy Day 2025 would not have been possible.

As we commemorate this day, let us affirm that philosophy is not only a reflection of human thought but a bridge to human harmony. Qur’anic philosophy, in particular, offers a timeless and universal guide for humanity—providing clarity in confusion, knowledge in uncertainty, and solutions in times of need. May this gathering inspire generations to embrace wisdom, pursue truth, and strive together toward building a more just, peaceful, and enlightened world.
