Binuuriwajhillahiladzhim, Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim.
With profound humility and joy, the Institut Falsafah Al-Qur’an (IFA) extends a heartfelt welcome to all scholars, philosophers, international delegates, and participants gathered for the World Philosophy Day 2025 International Conference on Philosophy & Leadership, held in Kuala Lumpur under the theme: “Navigating a Complex World with Ethical Governance.”
Your presence here—representing diverse cultures, disciplines, and traditions—embodies the spirit of intellectual unity and global collaboration. In a time marked by complexity, fragmentation, and moral uncertainty, this gathering affirms our shared commitment to wisdom, ethical reflection, and principled leadership.
This year’s event holds special significance as it coincides with the convocation ceremony of IFA graduates — individuals who have completed their journey in Qur’anic philosophical studies. Their achievement is not merely academic; it is a testament to the living legacy of our founder, the late Dato’ Philosopher D’Outreach Prof. Dr. Halo-N Badii’uzzaman.
His vision was clear and courageous: that Al-Qur’anic philosophy is not confined to intellectual abstraction, but is a transformative path—one that draws humanvity closer to God, nurtures noble character, and strengthens universal human values. He believed that philosophy must be lived, not merely studied; that it must guide governance, uplift communities, and illuminate the human condition.
Today, his legacy is carried forward as a sacred trust. Through the work of IFA and its collaborators, we strive to ensure that the philosophy of the Al-Qur’an remains relevant, rigorous, and rooted in the realities of our time. It is a philosophy that speaks to all—regardless of faith or background—calling us to stewardship, justice, and compassion.
We are deeply honoured to host this international conference as a platform for dialogue, exchange, and renewal. May it serve not only as a meeting of minds, but as a convergence of hearts—where ideas are shared with sincerity, and where ethical governance is reimagined through the lens of timeless wisdom.
Let this gathering be a catalyst for deeper inquiry, stronger partnerships, and a renewed sense of purpose in navigating the challenges of our complex world. May the accomplishments of our graduates, the support of our international partners, and the exchange of ideas here today further strengthen our shared commitment to uphold and advance the philosophy of the Al-Qur’an on the world stage.
Welcome to Kuala Lumpur. Welcome to World Philosophy Day 2025. Welcome to a celebration of truth, legacy, and the enduring power of ethical thought.
