Leader Message – Maziah

Mdm. Maziah Abdul Manaf
Committee Member - Gual Periok Foundation

On this distinguished occasion of World Philosophy Day 2025, we begin by honouring the enduring legacy of the late Dato’ Dr. HaLO-N, visionary founder of the Gual Periok Foundation (YGP), Institut Falsafah Al-Qur’an (IFA) and and the World Philosophical Forum (WPF) Malaysia Branch. His wisdom and sincerity continue to guide us. Though deeply missed, his spirit lives on—in every institution he founded and every soul he inspired. May we honour his legacy with courage, humility, and unwavering commitment to philosophical excellence.

Our deepest appreciation goes to our principal collaborators: YGP, under the stewardship of Dr Hasbullah Zakaria; the WPF Malaysia Branch, led by Executive Chairman Dr Mohammad Nizar; and IFA, guided by Dr Hj Mohd Fadir Embong and Dr Azman Adnan. Their dedication to integrating Qur’anic philosophy with contemporary thought continues to inspire meaningful engagement across generations and strengthen philosophical discourse in the region.\

We gratefully acknowledge the contributions of WPF Philippines Inc., under Chairman Professor Shariff Ibrahim Albani, whose presence enriches this celebration with regional depth and scholarly diversity. We also congratulate the graduates conferred with Doctorates, Advanced Diplomas, and Teaching Diplomas, produced through the academic collaboration between IFA and WPF University, under the leadership of CEO Prof. Dr. Igor Kondrashin and Rector Prof. Dr. Fidel Gutierrez Vivanco. Our heartfelt congratulations to the Organizing Committee of WPD 2025 Malaysia for convening this celebration of wisdom, reflection, and intellectual stewardship.

To all scholars from around the world who have come to support us—thank you. Let us uphold peace through philosophy, guided by the verse: “Indeed, those who believe, and those who are Jews, Christians, and Sabians—whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does good—will have their reward with their Lord. They will have no fear, nor will they grieve.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:62) Congratulations to all—and may your legacy endure through lives lived with philosophy.
