In conjunction with the World Philosophy Day, we celebrated the universal

recognition of world philosophy on general humanity. Having studied Al-Quranic philosophy under the guidance of the late Professor Dato’ Dr. Halo-N (Dato’ Prof. Ahmad Laksmana), it is indeed remarkably true that al Quran as the guiding principle, guiding philosophy in building humanity in human life. Al Quran is not merely for memorizing verses of al Quran but more deep understanding on how we think, the philosophical worldview and the wisdom of human life in entirety.

The al-Quranic philosophy has elaborated the “Purpose of life”, the destiny and the compass in life. By understanding the al-Quranic philosophy, we could no longer wander in random, but with design and purpose. It has enabled us to correlate the logical view and the divine revelation that streamline with our faith (‘iman’).

The al-Quranic philosophy has enlightened us on the broaden ethical and moral worldview in syariah concept and etiquette, in spite of merely following the rule. By acknowledging the importance of the philosophy, this will lay foundation for debate, critical thinking and filtration of information to deduce a  good foundation  for humanity.

May this World Philosophy Day be celebrated as the bridge for righteous people in achieving a more just, equitable and peaceful world.
