Philosophy
Institute of Al Quranic Philosophy (IFA) was established in 2019 by Dato’ Philosopher D’Outreach Prof. Dr. Halo-N Badii’uzzaman, Orang Tua Utama of Yayasan Gual Periok, under the Eurasian Bridges for Peace initiative in collaboration with the University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade. He pioneered the development of two academic programmes: the Advanced Diploma in Al-Quranic Philosophy (2-year duration) and the Diploma in Teaching Al-Quranic Philosophy (1-year duration).
In 2020, the institute launched the inaugural cohort of the IFA academic programme commenced with the enrollment of 14 students. The inaugural cohort of 14 students successfully graduated from the Advanced Diploma in Al-Quranic Philosophy programme in 2022. The inaugural convocation ceremony was held in conjunction with the celebration of World Philosophy Day 2022. Certification for this graduating class was formally conferred by the University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade.
The first cohort of the Diploma in Teaching Al-Quranic Philosophy programme commenced in 2023, comprising 8 outstanding students selected from the inaugural batch of the Advanced Diploma in Al-Quranic Philosophy programme. On 21 August 2024, Dato’ Dr. Halo-N returned to the mercy of God. The journey of the Institute of Al-Quranic Philosophy continues. The Institute of Al Quranic Philosophy was officially incorporated in Malaysia on 3 June 2025 under the Companies Commission of Malaysia as Institut Falsafah Al-Quran Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 1626092-M).
The institute has established strategic academic partnerships with WPF University, Athens, Greece, through which international certification for the Al-Quranic Philosophy Academic Programme will be conferred.
