INTRODUCTION
INSTITUT FALSAFAH AL QURAN &
PENGAJIAN FALSAFAH AL QURAN
Pada tahun 2019, Dato’ Dr. Halo-N telah mengadakan Conjoint aktiviti dan kerjasama diantara Yayasan Gual Periok, Eurasian Bridges Project – University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade. Dibawah naungan Fakulti, di University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade, Dato’ Dr. Halo-N telah mencadangkan “Gual Periok Chair of Philosophical Thought” dan memperkenalkan Modul Pengajian program Advanced Diploma Falsafah Al Quran (Al Fathun Nawa Jilid 9). Dengan program pengajian yang diperkenalkan itu, Dr. Halo-N telah diberi status sebagai Philosopher D’outreach Professor. Kata ECPD Director, Academician Prof. Dr. Negoslav P. Ostajie – “It is indeed an activity that carries the mission statement of the ECPD within it, peace and development”. Berikutan dengan itu juga pada 29 Julai 2021, Dato’ Dr. Halo-N telah dilantik sebagai Academic Council of the ECPD, UN University for Peace menggantikan tempat kekosongan oleh ‘Distinguish Diplomat and Islamic Scholar Professor Idris Jazairy a true champion of human right” yang telah meninggal dunia.
Perjalanan akademik bagi program Advanced Diploma Falsafah Al Quran (tempoh pengajian selama 2 tahun) dibawah naungan Fakulti, di University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade, telah bermula secara rasmi pada tahun 2020 apabila pengambilan kelas pertama dibuka dan berjaya mendaftarkan seramai 14 orang mahasiswa. Ketika ini Dato’ Dr. Halo-N bertindak sebagai Dekan Fakulti, Dr. Hasbullah Zakaria sebagai Timbalan Dekan dan Encik Mohd Fadir Embong sebagai Pengarah Institut. Komitmen serta ketekunan kumpulan perintis ini membuah hasil pada tahun 2022 apabila kesemua 14 orang mahasiswa tersebut berjaya menamatkan pengajian bagi program Advanced Diploma Falsafah Al Quran. Majlis Konvokesyen Pertama telah dilangsungkan secara gilang-gemilang bersempena dengan sambutan World Philosophy Day 2022, di Berjaya Time Square, Kuala Lumpur, di mana penganugerahan pensijilan rasmi telah disempurnakan oleh University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade.
Bagi mengukuhkan kepimpinan keilmuan dan melatih tenaga pengajar masa hadapan, program Diploma Perguruan Falsafah Al Quran (tempoh pengajian selama 1 tahun) mula diperkenalkan dan ditawarkan pada tahun 2023. Seramai 8 orang graduan terbaik daripada kumpulan perintis Advanced Diploma telah dipilih untuk menyertai kelas pertama program perguruan ini.
Pada 21 Ogos 2024, program pengajian berdepan dengan ujian yang berat apabila Dekan Pengajian, Dato’ Dr. Halo-N, telah dipanggil pulang ke rahmatullah.
Pada tahun 2025 perubahan baru telah berlaku didalam penstrukturan pentadbiran program pengajian. Kerjasama yang dibentuk diantara Yayasan Gual Periok – Eurasian Bridges Project – University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade tidak bersambung lagi diatas sebab-sebab yang tidak dapat dielakkan.
Maka pada 3 Jun 2025, Institut Falsafah Al Quran Sdn. Bhd. (IFA) (1626092-M) telah ditubuhkan secara rasmi di bawah Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM). Membentuk sebuah entiti tersendiri dalam mengurus dan mentadbir program pengajian Falsafah Al Quran. Sebagai penghormatan terulung atas jasa dan sumbangan Dato’ Dr. Halo-N, beliau dikekal dan diabadikan sebagai Dekan Pengajian, manakala pentadbiran dan kepimpinan institut pengajian diteruskan di bawah pimpinan Timbalan Dekan, Dr. Hasbullah Zakaria, manakala Dr. Mohd Fadir Embong bertindak sebagai Pengerusi Eksekutif Syarikat dan Ketua Pensyarah (Senior Lecturer), CEO Syarikat pula dipegang oleh Dr. Azman Adnan yang juga sebagai Senior Lecturer dan Pendaftar Institut dipegang oleh Cikgu Zulkifly Hashim yang juga sebagai Senior Lecturer.
Seiring dengan penubuhan rasmi ini, IFA terus melangkah ke pentas antarabangsa dengan menjalin kerjasamai strategik bersama WPF University-USE (Athens, Greece) bagi mengendalikan pensijilan antarabangsa Program Pengajian Falsafah Al Quran. Majlis Konvokesyen kedua telah dilangsungkan secara gilang-gemilang bersempena dengan sambutan World Philosophy Day 2025 di Hotel Renaissance, Kuala Lumpur, di mana seramai 12 orang mahasiswa program Advanced Diploma Falsafah Al Quran, 8 orang mahasiswa program Diploma Perguruan Falsafah Al Quran, dan 4 orang mahasiswa program Ph.D telah diberi penganugerahan pensijilan rasmi yang disempurnakan oleh WPF University-USE, Athens, Greece.
Selain itu, jaringan akademik IFA turut diperkukuh menerusi pembentukan rakan kerjasama strategik bersama Prinsconser University, Peru dan beberapa lagi pusat pengajian dari pelbagai negara di seluruh dunia bagi memperkenalkan buku Al Fathun Nawa dan Pengajian Falsafah Al Quran yang dianjurkan oleh Dato’ Dr. Halo-N.

AL QURANIC PHILOSOPHY PROGRAMME
In 2019, Dato’ Dr. Halo-N initiated a conjoint activity and collaboration between Yayasan Gual Periok and the Eurasian Bridges Project – University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade. Under the auspices of the Faculty at University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade, Dato’ Dr. Halo-N proposed the establishment of the “Gual Periok Chair of Philosophical Thought” and introduced the study module for the Advanced Diploma in Al Quranic Philosophy (Al Fathun Nawa Volume 9) programme. Following the introduction of this programme, Dr. Halo-N was conferred the status of Philosopher D’outreach Professor. The Director of ECPD, Academician Prof. Dr. Negoslav P. Ostijic, stated: “It is indeed an activity that carries the mission statement of the ECPD within it, peace and development.” Subsequently, on 29 July 2021, Dato’ Dr. Halo-N was appointed to the Academic Council of the ECPD, UN University for Peace, filling the vacancy left by the late Distinguished Diplomat and Islamic Scholar Professor Idris Jazairy, a true champion of human rights.
The academic journey of the Advanced Diploma in Al Quranic Philosophy programme, which has a duration of two years and was conducted under the auspices of the Faculty at University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade, officially commenced in 2020 when enrolment for the first cohort was opened. A total of 14 students successfully enrolled in the inaugural cohort. At that time, Dato’ Dr. Halo-N served as the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Hasbullah Zakaria as Deputy Dean, and Mr. Mohd Fadir Embong as Director of the Institute. The commitment and perseverance of this pioneering group produced graduates in 2022 when all 14 students successfully completed the Advanced Diploma in Al Quranic Philosophy programme. The First Convocation Ceremony was held in grand fashion in conjunction with World Philosophy Day 2022 at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur, where the official certification was formally conferred by University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade.
In order to strengthen scholarly leadership and prepare future educators, the Teaching Diploma in Al Quranic Philosophy programme, with a duration of one year, was introduced and offered in 2023. Eight outstanding graduates from the pioneering cohort of the Advanced Diploma programme were selected to participate in the first cohort of this teacher-training programme.
On 21 August 2024, the academic programme faced a profound loss when the Dean of Faculty, Dato’ Dr. Halo-N, had passed away.
In 2025, new changes took place in the administrative structure of the academic programmes. The collaboration established between Yayasan Gual Periok – Eurasian Bridges Project – University for Peace UN-ECPD, Belgrade could no longer continue due to unavoidable circumstances.
Consequently, on 3 June 2025, Institut Falsafah Al Quran Sdn. Bhd. (IFA) (1626092-M) was officially incorporated under the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), establishing an independent entity responsible for managing and administering the Al Quranic Philosophy academic programmes. As the highest tribute to the service and contributions of Dato’ Dr. Halo-N, his position has been retained and commemorated as Dean of Faculty. The administration and academic leadership of the institute continued under the leadership of Deputy Dean, Dr. Hasbullah Zakaria. Dr. Mohd Fadir Embong serves as the Executive Chairman of the Company and Head Lecturer (Senior Lecturer), while Dr. Azman Adnan serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company, as well as a Senior Lecturer. The position of Registrar of the Institute is held by Cikgu Zulkifly Hashim, who also serves as a Senior Lecturer.
Following its official establishment, IFA continued its expansion onto the international stage by establishing a strategic collaboration with WPF University-USE (Athens, Greece) to administer the international certification of the Al Quranic Philosophy academic programmes. The Second Convocation Ceremony was held in grand fashion in conjunction with World Philosophy Day 2025 at Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. A total of 12 students from the Advanced Diploma Falsafah Al Quran programme, 8 students from the Diploma Perguruan Falsafah Al Quran programme, and 4 students from the Ph.D. programme were formally awarded their respective certifications by WPF University-USE, Athens, Greece.
In addition, IFA’s academic network has been further strengthened through the establishment of strategic partnerships with Prinsconser University, Peru, as well as several other educational institutions and centres of learning from various countries around the world. These collaborations aim to introduce Al Fathun Nawa and the Al Quranic Philosophy academic programmes developed and pioneered by Dato’ Dr. Halo-N to a wider international audience.
