I would like to extend my warm greetings to all participants of the World Philosophy Day 2025. This gathering, themed “Philosophy & Leadership: Navigating a Complex World with Ethical Governance,” provides an invaluable platform to reflect on the role of philosophy in shaping leadership that is thoughtful, principled, and future-ready.
Philosophy encourages us to question, to seek understanding, and to act with integrity. These values are essential in navigating an increasingly complex and interconnected world—where the decisions we make as leaders have far-reaching impact not only on organisations, but on communities, nations, and the planet we share.
The integration of Quranic philosophy with the principles of Environment, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) offers a compelling framework for ethical leadership and sustainable progress. By grounding modern governance in enduring philosophical values, we are better equipped to address contemporary challenges with wisdom, compassion, and foresight. Events such as this remind us that meaningful transformation is achieved through the cultivation of ethical clarity and shared purpose, alongside technical solutions. By convening a diverse community of thought leaders from around the world, this forum creates a valuable platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration, laying the foundation for a more inclusive, resilient, and enlightened society.
I commend Pertubuhan Forum Falsafah Sedunia Malaysia and Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia for their vision in bringing this important conversation to our shores. May this celebration spark fresh insights and inspire collective action towards a more thoughtful, ethical, and sustainable future.
