YBrs. Tuan Hj. Zabidi Bin Nasan
Director General, Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia
It is with great honor and humility that I extend my warmest greetings on the occasion of World Philosophy Day 2025, to be held on 20 November at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur. This global celebration serves as a timely reminder that philosophy is not only the pursuit of wisdom but also the foundation upon which societies can build justice, compassion, and sustainable progress. The gathering of scholars, leaders, and communities from diverse backgrounds under one roof reflects our collective aspiration for peace, mutual understanding, and shared human dignity.
At Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia (YAPEIM), our mission has always been to empower communities through economic, education and social development inclusivity guided by noble values. These commitments are deeply aligned with the essence of philosophy, which calls us to question, to reflect, and to act with wisdom for the common good.
We believe that nurturing both intellectual and spiritual growth is essential for building a balanced society that thrives not only materially, but also morally and ethically. World Philosophy Day 2025 carries a profound responsibility, especially as it continues the legacy of thinkers and visionaries who dedicated their lives to the pursuit of truth and the service of humanity.
Each celebration of this nature should not merely be an event, but a seed planted for future generations to harvest in the form of knowledge, unity, and values that stand the test of time. On behalf of YAPEIM, I welcome all participants to this meaningful occasion, with the hope that it will inspire deeper reflection, stronger bonds of humanity, and a renewed commitment to building a more compassionate and enlightened world.
